The Freeport Book Shoppe was established at this location in 2000. We maintain an inventory of over 40,000 books, purchased from local estate sales, auctions and from old local attics. Our offerings include a general stock of used and out of print books, both hardcover and paperbacks. We maintain a good selection of Maine and New England related books as wells as books on the Civil War, WWII, other military history, Science Fiction, early Children’s books and much more.

We also maintain a large selection of postcards, some covers, as well as an assortment of Ephemera. This is our newest and fastest growing area. You never know what you might find here.

We are members of the Maine Antiquarian Booksellers Association.

We are Open year-round: Hours tend to be a little more flexible in the winter months.

Summer Hours: Monday through Saturday 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM
